In most cases, it costs $300-$500 per piece. Complex restorations can cost more and basic ones can cost less.
Yes, if packed properly/safely (see our How to Package page for suggested packaging methods). We do recommend insuring your package.
We carry professional liability insurance, as well as a general liability policy. There is also a security system on the premises.

Tuesday – Friday: 9 am – 4 pm, Saturday: 9 am – 1 pm
No appointment necessary.
Typically 4 to 5 weeks, but we will accommodate rush jobs as our schedule permits. Complex restorations or high volume jobs can take longer.
No… damage harms value. Restoration can stabilize or increase the value of a damaged piece.
No, we are not able to improve the contrast/quality of faded ink writing.
We do not offer framing service, but can recommend framers local to our studio. We advise clients outside our area to use a local framer, as shipping framed pieces always carries risk of breakage and damage.
